The hardware is awful and just a gimmick

As far as Wii U controversy and criticism goes, this is one of the more ridiculous claims. The Wii U and it’s accessories are excellent. The Gamepad is an amazing addition to gaming, and looks to capitalize on the success of the DS and the 3DS by introducing a similar control system to the home console market. It works extremely well.

The battery life on the Gamepad could have been better, and the lack of memory bundled with both the Deluxe and Basic versions of the Wii U does require a purchase of more memory, but these minor problems are easily worked around.
