New DS RPG Wind of Nostalgio - the new Skies of Arcadia?

Wind of Nostalgio in Famitsu - expect some better pics soon.

According to IGN, the team responsible for Final Fantasy III and IV on DS are currently hard at work on a new IP, to be published by Tecmo later this year. It’s called Nostalgia No Kaze - or Wind of Nostalgio - and it follows the story of Eddy, the son of a famous English adventurer.

Opening in England’s fair capital, Eddy must recruit a bunch of fellow Londoners - assuming he can find anyone pleasant enough not to scowl grumpily at him for daring to look in their general direction (arf) - and set off in an airship to explore the world. Instead of travelling on foot across the game world, you’ll visit dungeons by flying to them, with the chance of encountering other dirigibles mid-flight and engaging them in craft-based combat.

Sounds a bit like a 19th century Skies of Arcadia to me. Hopefully it’ll be translated soon - the western setting leaves me optimistic that it will. And hopefully the localisation won’t feature the kind of ‘London’ accent we were treated to by Professor Layton’s apprentice, Luke. Ain’t thet raaght, Mairy Poppuns?
