Kai & Zero hit European DSes this winter as more info emerges

Eledees: The Adventures of Kai & Zero - rubbish title, good-looking gameIt’s EleBITS! BITS of ELEctricity. Eledees just doesn’t make any sense, apart from being a rubbish pun. Why, Konami, why?

And yes, they’re using the name Eledees again. Sigh.

Konami today confirmed it’s bringing the 2D DS adventure to Europe, and setting a ‘winter’ release date for the puzzle-based adventure. And now we have a bit more info about the damn thing, too.

Eledees: The Adventures of Kai and Zero is apparently a sequel to the Wii game (suggesting we’re not getting another one of those), and tells the story of original protagonist Kai getting zapped into a strange world by a magic bus, the vehicle invented by Kai’s boffin dad.

The capture gun returns, which Kai uses to capture Eledees and move obstacles - much like the original, then. Kai must also find the new Omega Eledees who tag along and use their super-duper powers to help solve various puzzles.

Wi-Fi head-to-head battles are also promised, the game supporting up to four players as they compete to collect the most critters. Good.
