Ouch. Two of the DS’s most promising forthcoming titles are going head-to-head in Japan, with Daigasso Band Bros DX out on the same day as Disgaea DS - June 26th.

Despite the latter having quite a cult following, it was never massively successful in its homeland, while the former didn’t sell nearly as well as it deserved to. But with the DS having a substantially larger userbase than when the original Daigasso appeared, hopefully it will do decent numbers this time around, and perhaps convince Nintendo that a western release would be a good idea.

The boxart for both games is pictured above. Not sure what the deal with yellow boxes is at the moment - Blue Dragon DS also features a similar monkey-vomit background hue. Rhythm Tengoku Gold (if the original is anything to go by) will probably be the same, too - importers, don your shades!
