WiiWare is here*!
*If “Japan” counts as “here”, that is.
Yep, I switched on my Japanese Wii this morning, accessed the shop channel, and lo and behold, nine new titles were there to greet me. That launch list in full - and each title’s cost in Wii Points - then:
- Angel’s Solitaire - 500 pointsÂÂ
- Dr. Mario & Bacteria Extermination - 1000 points
- Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King - 1500 points
- Lonpos - 1000 points
- Mojipittan Wii - 1000 points
- Okiraku Ping Pong Wii - 500 points
- Pokemon Ranch Channel - 1000 points
- Saku Saku Animal Panic - 1000 points
- Star Soldier R - 800 points
I’ve downloaded four games so far, and will be bringing you early impressions of at least two of them - Star Soldier R and Dr. Mario - later today. As far as file sizes go, it seems as if (predictably) Square-Enix has dibs on the largest portion of your Wii’s memory, with Crystal Chronicles taking up 287 blocks, and Dr. Mario hogging a measly 86. Either way, that fridge is going to get very full awfully quickly. Come on, Nintendo - let’s have some kind of storage solution, and soon.
