THQ “going after girls” with All-Star Cheer Squad for Wii and DS
Not only is All-Star Cheer Squad for Wii, it’s also set to use the Wii Fit Balance Board to fully immerse you into the heady cheerleading world like never before.
The game follows the first year in the life of a cheerleader, and is, according to maker THQ, “first original property created specifically for girls.” Which is in no way true, as there are hundreds of pony games out there that, we’d imagine, aren’t exactly big sellers to the male demographic.
All-Star players, obviously, use the Wiimote and Nunchuck to pull off cheer moves, while balancing on the Wii Fit Balance Board and doing little kicks and jumps. It should be quite the full-body workout on Wii.
Be! Excited! Be be! Excited! Although it’s quite unlikely we’ll ever see it here, as the UK isn’t exactly packed with wannabe cheerleaders. So don’t be too excited.
