Wii Fit priced Europe, UK gets raw deal

wii-fit-3.jpg

Nintendo has just released information on price points for Wii Fit, due out on April 25th. In the UK, it’s going to cost GBP 69.99 and in Euros it’ll be 89.99. In the Land of the Brave, meanwhile, Reggie Fils-Aime has confirmed that it’s going to retail for under 100 dollars.

What does that mean in terms of real cost, after one adjusts for exchange rates? Well, those buying in Euros are getting it for about one-pound-fifty cheaper than we are, while the Americans are getting it for a whopping 20 pounds cheaper. I’m not mathemetician, mind, and these figures are open to decisive rebuttal. But if I am right: what gives, Nintendo?

We always get the sucky deals.

    £69.99?! THAT’S INSANE.

I got GH3 (with wiitar) for about £20 cheaper than that!

It’s fairly equal then, really… as the US price will not include their version of VAT. Each state levies its own tax in that regard, from what I understand, so it’ll probably not be that big a difference come finish.

i say someone should give the Office of Fair Trading a ring.
Nintendo are still selling it at a higher price, tax or no tax

    £69.99 is roughly $140 USD.

Trust me, the American version will be NO WHERE near that price. It’ll be something like $100/$110. We always get ripped off.

that’s because us Americans are so overweight and need something to get us in shape. Nintendo is helping us out
