Peggle coming to DS… or is it?
Like a nasty man with a sharp pin, PopCap VP Greg Canessa left everyone deflated with the announcement that Peggle wasn’t coming to the DS… yet.
A PC puzzler that’s currently the fun du jour on everyone’s lips, yesterday saw a real buzz over the apparent confirmation on Pocket Gamer that it was being ported to Ninty’s mighty handheld. Not so, says Canessa:
“Nintendo has not approved this product, we have not signed a developer to port Peggle to DS, and we have not green lighted this project. This is a perfect example of why our company policy is to not comment on future plans until they’re finalized.”
Boooooooooo! Oh well. At least we know the project is on the table. And if it wasn’t before, judging by the interweb reaction it certainly will be now.
