WiiWii chats with Charles Martinet, voice of Mario


Today we had the great honour of meeting Charles Martinet, voice of Mario. He’s a lovely chap, and he was very obliging with the funny voices and interesting anecdotes. Did you know, for example, that his version of Mario was based on a character from Shakespeare’s “Taming of the Shrew”? Who’da thought? Make with the clicky for more of the same.

    Charles Martinet is a legend.

    And I got Super Mario Galaxy today! I just finished a 8 hour gaming MARATHON! Twas awesome.

    I’d hate to say it, but he seems like he’s hocking Nintendo’s product in the beginning. But, overall seems like a good guy. Good interview.
