Fitness Freak: Pelican Wii Nerf Sports Pack

Hurm. The stream of useless accessories for the Wii is no danger of drying up. If anything, the current grows stronger by the day. This set of items is the Pelican Wii Nerf Sports Pack, which looks just like any other Wii Sports-targeted accessory except they’re made of foam. The makers claim that that using the lighter material enabled them to make the accessories larger and heavier, and therefore more “realistic”.

Our feelings about these kits have been made plain in the past. They’re useless and they’re ugly, and they serve no discernible purpose except to fleece novice gamers of their hard-earned cash. Until people stop buying them, unscrupulous miscreants are going to keep making them, and it’s gone beyond a joke. Anyone want to join us in starting a petition?

I think this would be good for kids. It will allow them to get a better “feel” for what they are doing. I do agree that there are usless items for the Wii, but I plan to buy this Nerf brand set for my nephews that are 3, 5, and 7. Plus, it may save their TV. :o)

Well, I have a major complaint!!! the Nerf pack didn’t stop mishaps. After normal use the locking mechanism gets loose. As I swung the remote with the baseball bat attachment it flew off and cracked my tv screen. BE CAREFUL your children may be around when one of these things comes flying off. Someone is going to pay for my TV getting repaired.
