Mario mushrooms can be bad for your health

Mamma mia! The Amanita muscaria mushroom, which bears a close resemblance to Mario’s perennial power-up, has been banned in the Netherlands following a spate of tragic accidents involving tourists.

How tragic, you ask? Well death and serious injury, for starters. In one incident, a 17-year-old French girl jumped from a building after eating magic mushrooms during a school trip to Amsterdam in March. In another, an Icelandic tourist jumped from a balcony and broke both his legs. The most bizarre incident of the bunch, however, was when a Danish tourist drove his car at full speed through a camping ground, narrowly missing tents and the people sleeping in them.

A union of Italian plumbers (membership: two) are now protesting the ban, citing the mushroom’s thereputic and health-giving properties. Thus far, the Dutch authorities remain unmoved by their pleas.

  1. Bob Says:

That isn’t a magic mushroom. That’s a poisoinous todstool that will make you feel pretty bad for an extended period of time.

For god’s sake don’t ‘experiment’ with it. All it’ll do is give you extended visions of your toilet bowl.
