Fashion Police: Dress up like Mario for Halloween
Over in America, people take Halloween very seriously. Choosing the right costume for trick or treating is a difficult decision, and one that must be taken weeks in advance of the big day. For one intrepid blogger, however, the matter was very nearly settled after browsing the racks of his local fancy dress parlour; he found a Super Mario costume.
Funnily enough, there’s no mention of the words “Mario” or “Nintendo” on the packaging. It’s been mysteriously described as a “Handy Man Costume”, though it’s pretty obvious who it’s modeled on. The big bushy moustache is a dead giveaway.
Putting aside the fact that a wholesome gaming icon has absolutely nothing to do with the scary horrors of Halloween, we’d think twice before investing in such a cheap and tacky get-up. There’s only three items in the pack - blue dungarees, red t-shirt, and red cap - with nary a whisper of a black whisker to be seen. You could easily do better by raiding your parent’s wardrobe.
