Galaxy preorder figures are out of this world
The word on the street (and by street, I mean Internet) is that gamers in Japan can’t wait to play Super Mario Galaxy. Infendo claim that over 700,000 copies have been preordered, and the figure is still rising. That’s in Japan alone, and it just goes to show how popular this game is going to be. The US will probably see even greater figures, especially now that Mario Coin rumoured a while back has now been confirmed as an incentive to reserve a copy early. With only six weeks to go until the European release, I’m sure a few of us have already preordered their copy. I certainly know of one person who has
Kotaku tells us that Halo 3 sold 3 million copies on launch day. With a month and a half of preorders still to go, and a near simultaneous worldwide launch, can Galaxy surpass that? I’m willing to wager that it will.
