NiGHTS to have two-player mode, online connectivity

nightswii1.jpgSega’s keenly anticipated new Wii title, NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams, will have some extra features in the form of two player gaming and an “artificial life” sim.

IGN is reporting that the two-player mode will be a “Duel” mode - which implies that there’ll be a competitive aspect - though it’s not yet clear what kind of duels we’ll be engaging in. Sega has also announced that the game will feature several different two-player modes, with one mode allowing for local play and another that allows for online network connectivity.

Sega also plans to resrurrect the artificial life (or A-Life) feature from the old Sega Saturn version of the game. With A-Life, players become responsible for nurturing the various creatures they encounter in the world of Nightopia.

Expect more details about NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams to be revealed once the Tokyo Game Show gets underway. Until then, sleep well.
