I haven’t seen that many banjo straps. They don’t really attract attention, and are probably more practical than fashionable. If I did have a banjo (and having one would be quite useful for playing whilst being chased, or duelling) then I would definitely use the above strap to secure it about my person. It features a host of Nintendo characters in all their 8-bit retro glory.

On further examination of the owner’s flickr page, the strap was bought from Etsy, the online marketplace for handmade items that we mentioned a couple of months ago. Conducting a search using “Nintendo” brings up a fantastic selection of goods available to buy, and with 18 pages of Nintendo-themed items, it’s nice to see how much impact the brand and its characters have had on the creative minds who have made them. There’s no sign of the strap, however. I may have to postpone getting that banjo for now.
