Games Convention, Leipzig: Wii Fit pics

With no official press conference at the GC, actual information from Nintendo may be a bit sparse. They have set up booths, with playable demos of previously announced games, so we should see some hands-on information coming through, and be bombarded with pictures of the games in action.
Wii Fit is one of the games that the big N is going to be pushing at the GC, and Nintendo World Report have a plethora of photos uploaded so we can get a better idea of this innovative title. We have already seen from E3 that the game will feature yoga exercises, aerobic workouts, and mini-games to get your muscles working and blood pumping. In addition to the football heading challenge that Miyamoto demonstrated, from the new pictures it seems that there is also a Ski Jump game.
If my beady little eyes don’t deceive me, I also spot a menu screen with eleven games to choose from. That should give enough variety to keep interest in this game, and if it gets you fit whilst having fun, then Nintendo may be onto a winner. They just need to get past that whole “looking stupid whilst you’re playing it” thing.
I think that this game could actually be very successful, and another Wii Sports, especially if Nintendo release a Wii Fit Console that comes complete with the game and Wii Fit Board. I don’t think I’ll be getting it, as the novelty will probably wear off pretty quickly, but I’m not going to doubt Nintendo’s ability to sell this game to the casual gamer.
