Gamestop list leads to Red Steel 2 rumours

Red Steel 2 list American game shop giant Gamestop have obtained a list of forthcoming European releases on the Wii. Quite why an American game shop giant has a European list of games is beyond me, but they do. The list is only designed to be a guide for release dates, but on perusing the list, it appears that a sequel to the shoot ‘em/slice ‘em game Red Steel will be heading our way mid-November.

With an official announcment nowhere to be seen, and the release date being so soon, I’m putting this one down to error. I’ve no doubt that there will be a sequel in the very near future, but in 3 months? Possibly Ubisoft are keeping this one under the radar, due to the lukewarm reception it’s predecessor received. I personally didn’t think Red Steel was that bad, and although the control system has been criticised, I found the game’s main flaws to be found in the level design.

I would certainly be interested inÃ‚Â trying out the sequel. What about you?
