THQ planning to flood Wii with games
THQ’s American boss Kelly Flock has said he’s “aggressively” looking for new Wii games and ideas, thanks to the amazingly cheap nature of Wii development.
“Wii is a godsend” Flock told industry mag MCV, adding that Wii games can be churned out (loving crafted) in 12 months, compared to a two to three year slog of PS360 development.
And according to Flock, Wii games cost as little as $1.5 million to cobble together (carefully create) - compared to the $10-12 million THQ spends on its PS3 and Xbox 360 titles.
THQ’s got movie license Ratatouille coming out on Wii this summer - followed by party painting game de Blob (pictured).
Then about five games a month forever.
