E3 2007: Animal Crossing Wii
Matt Casamassina from IGN recently reported a very small update on Animal Crossing Wii best of all it comes straight from the horses mouth, so to speak! In a one-to-one interview with Mr Miyamoto, the well known Nintendo producer talked about the progress on the Wii version of Animal Crossing. The cute and quirky life simulation that lets players take control of their own town, planting trees, fishing and trading turnips!
Here’s what Miyamoto had to say about one of the most exciting Wii games that we have heard nothing about!
“The Animal Crossing team has been very busy working on a variety of different projects. Actually, the Mii Channel was put together by the director of the most recent Animal Crossing game. His name is Mr. Nogami. Recently he said he really wants to get back to work on Animal Crossing again, so hopefully we’ll be able to show something to people before too long.”
Animal Crossing previously appeared on release schedules as a 2007 release for Japan however if the team have been hard at work on other projects this is looking unlikely. As more concrete details emerge hopefully it will reveal that we will not have to wait too long to get our hands on it! As with the Nintendo DS version Animal Crossing Wii is expected to make full use of Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection which will, among other things, let players visit other friends towns and trade items and fruit.
