Wii Guitar Hero III controller, stage-diving now compulsory

Take a close look at the image above, my friends. That’s the first official image of the Wii controller for Guitar Hero III, shaped like a classic Gibson Les Paul. No different from the PS3 or X360 versions, you might think, except for one crucial detail…
D’ye see that little white bar of plastic wedged inside the base? That’s a Wii-mote, that is. Which means that, as anticipated, this version of the game will almost certainly involve motion-sensitivity. Rocking out to your favourite tunes takes on a whole new dimension if you’re also scored for doing the splits.
But of course, this is merely conjecture. Activision and RedOctane have only shown us the controller, they haven’t told us what we can do with it… yet. Don’t know how much it costs, either. We’ll pass on more details when we have them. Till then, be patient and start practicing your stage moves.
