Plattchen: The first WiiWare title?

News of one of the first WiiWare (or Wii Software as the service will be known on these shores) titles surprise landed yesterday in a press release from new Viennese developer, Bplus. The name of this exciting new game is Plattchen - Twist ‘n’ Paint.
Though little else (other than the name, which may or may not be a play on the German word plaettchen meaning little tile) is known at this time, we do know that Plattchen is an “innovative puzzle shooter game” and has been “designed exclusively for [Nintendo] Wii and it’s innovative new controller”.
I’ll be the first to admit that I didn’t expect any further news on Wii Software for weeks (if not months, remember we won’t see it launch till early 2008 at least) so to hear details emerge regarding one of the download service’s first titles was a real surprise. Real or fake, I’ll let you decide but at least it’s nice to think that there may be some developers out there already taking these original downloads seriously. More details as they surface but in the meantime why not read the official press release over on the Bplus website. We’ll be twisting ‘n’ painting before you know it, I’m sure. Source.
