Pilotwings rumoured for Wii
It’s one of the games Wii owners have been most calling for on Virtual Console, yet Pilotwings could be involved in some even better news.
US retailer Gamestop has listed an all-new Pilotwings game as coming out on Wii later this year. The thought of Wiimote-enabled flying action is going to have thousands of Wii owners dribbling until it’s confirmed for sure.
That said, I wonder if the hype around this and other franchises is just a case of people slapping on their rose-tinted specs and predicting what old Nintendo brands haven’t yet come to Wii. Just as exciting would be some new Wii-exclusive brands from Nintendo, or at least building on something like Wii Sports to turn that into a series.
