Zelda games are perfect on desert islands
“If you could play just one game for the rest of your life, what would it be?” opens a recent desert island article over on 1Up. They asked a bunch of games developers and the like the above question with a few rules: the titles could not be played online (so MMOs like World of Warcraft were out) and the developers could not pick their own games. I was very happy to see that Zelda titles were high on the list. Two separate Zeldas, in fact, made it to the hot paradise: The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and (more recently) The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. The great Animal Crossing almost made it but was pipped to the post.
What do you think? What one game would you bring to your own desert island? Remember, there’s no Internet access on there but electricity is not a problem. What’s that? What game would I choose? Well, I’ve been thinking about it long and hard. My desert island game would be *drum roll* Jetpac on the ZX Spectrum. I could never tire of it.
