Fake Excite Truck 2 screen

I’m disappointed. Before I had even read that there could’ve been an Excite Truck sequel on the imminent horizon, I find out that the whole messy thing was a big fake. Big sites like Joystiq, Games Press and GamesIndustry.biz all were caught out by an official press release that appeared online this morning despite the fact that it was riddled with awkward sentences and spelling mistakes.
The announcement promised that Excite Truck 2 would feature online multiplayer (up to six players) and mii functionality, so you can understand why everyone got, well, excited. I’ve no doubt that Wii owners will see another title in the Excite range at some point but certainly not as soon as this was promising. Read on after the jump for the full press release in all it’s glory. Don’t get your hopes up though, this has been confirmed to be FAKE.
