It’s survival horror overload on Wii. With both Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition and Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles on the way for our lovely console, they’ve just announced that another scare title is creeping it’s way towards us from the shadows. Obscure II is scheduled for a late 2007 release and if you’ve played the first game (even if you haven’t) then let me lavish you with a few details about it.

Number two is set two years (coincidence? I think not) after the events we played in the first game and now everyone’s in college. Too bad for them that things start to take a turn for the worse yet again. There’s six playable characters to choose from and, coolest of all, you’re joined by a sidekick that can either be AI-controlled or human. Whether players will be able to play co-op online remains to be seen but if developers take this route then you can be sure Obscure II will sell by the truckload for this feature alone. More details as and when they emerge but for now you can marvel at the screenshots here. It’s looking quite nice — in a horror sort of way. Source.
