Jet Black Games formed to develop for Wii

Jet Black Games on WiiWiiA gaggle of ex-EA developers recently left their Canadian-based behemoth employer to form a brand new game studio called Jet Black Games. Nice thing about this for all of us is that JBG will be focusing on creating original and licensed titles for our beloved Nintendo Wii and DS.

It’s great news to hear that developers are beginning to concentrate more on Nintendo’s console and take notice of it’s success. I know that there were some who worried not so long ago that the Wii might face the same fate as the Gamecube when that console lost the backing of many third party developers. The Wii’s future is bright with groups like Jet Black. Back at EA the team had worked on such franchises as Need for Speed, FIFA and James Bond but no details have emerged yet as to what their first outing under this new name will be. There’s a good chance that the company’s first game might be a tried and tested IP just to get the ball rolling but bring on the original stuff if you ask me. I look forward to hearing more about these guys. Source.
