Glasgow gets fit with Wii
Fitness trainer Zander Urquhart and his company WestCoast Fitness have become the first in the UK to use Wiis for fitness classes. Urquhart said: “At first I took it along to private clients who had children that didn’t take part in exercise - and they loved it.” But what has only just begun in the UK has already spread to YMCA gyms in the US. Worryingly, I feel more in tune with the Daily Mail on this one. Instead of playing videogames, kids should be climbing trees. Instead of boxing virtual victims, or for that matter running on a treadmill, people should be out jogging in local parks. The Wii, virtual fitness for a nation afraid to actually leave their front room. Still, great fun!

[...] I’m lost for words. I don’t know if it’s this video’s concept or just the awesome soundtrack but I love this random YouTube find. Why didn’t I see this earlier? It’s been around since January after all. And, even more importantly, why didn’t I think of doing it first? I’d look good as Rocky. Related posts: Get fit with Wii | Wii High Scores [...]
