I wouldn’t even like to hazard a guess on how many times I’ve heard the Super Mario Bros. theme song in my lifetime — too many times some might argue. So imagine my surprise when I find out today that the classic tune actually has lyrics to go with it! The video above is a clip from Mario & Zelda Big Band Live — a concert in Tokyo from years back — and it shows a live performance of the song (called Go Go Mario). How I missed it is beyond me.

Obviously the song is sung in Japanese so you’ll have no idea (I’m assuming) what’s being said. Never fear readers! What follows is the English translation. Learn theses words by heart. You can sing along when Galaxy finally lands on our shores some time this year.
