So, you’ve got a Wii, but none of your friends could be arsed to get their pre-order sorted in time. Which is good news for your social life, in terms of people coming round for a go. But not so good for signing up Wii Friends online.

MapWii is a nifty new website that gets people to sign up with their username and Wii Number, and then plots them all on Google Maps. It’s simple, and effective, making it easy to find people near you to sign up and… er… send your Mii to.

Okay, so this’ll be more attractive when some actual games come out with online play, and it would be nice to have more profile info to browse when adding someone as a friend. But still, nice mash-up!
