Why 2007 can’t come fast enough: Harvest Moon: Tree of Peace
The Harvest Moon series is now ten years old but it’s certainly showing no signs of ageing if early details from this new game in the series are anything to go by. Tree of Peace seems to be more story-driven than the previous Harvest Moons (where farming was your main concern) with your aim now being to revive a great tree that has dried-up and bring back the missing tree goddess. Exciting stuff.
Farming your land is still integral to the game however. Wiimote actions will be utilised to the full extent with all farming chores being controlled through your own movements: swinging the wand like a hoe to prepare the fields and tilting it like a watering can to water plants are just two examples of this. Games of this type won’t be to everyone’s taste but if you’re a fan of something like Animal Crossing on the DS then this might just be the Wii game for you. Warning: going by previous Harvest Moon games, Tree of Peace will most probably steal a vast majority of your life. Expect to lose friends, jobs, partners and health as a result.

I love harvset moon I wish it could just come out in the USA Faster i Am Also wait for anther Havest moon for the DS it is Call (The Island Gerows With You) It Sounds So sweet!!!!!.I think i may be addicted to them.

I’ve heard Tree of Peace is coming out on January 7th 2008, but I’ve also heard it coming out Winter 2007. So…I don’t know when it will be out.
Like you guys, I’M DYING TO GET THE GAME! I’ve already decided who I’m marrying (Chihaya) and what I’ll name my kid. ^_^
Island of Happiness (or the Island that Grows with you) is coming out after Tree of Peace…I think…

i went on another website and it says its coming outing 2007 december in Europe.
june 2007 in japan,
2008 january america,
normaly it comes out in america first.dates are good for me.(i don’t live in japan!)

@kate: According to latest sources, we’re getting the previous game (can’t remember what it’s called) in Feb. Trees of peace has no official release date for Europe.

Check the link above, Wikipedia says it is to be released May 12th 2008! Can’t wait! I’ve played almost every HM game. Its the whole reason I bought the Wii! I’ve already chosen favorites too! I like Won and Kotomi!

I know a lot of HM games have glitches, sometimes only minor spelling errors, or sometimes they freeze up, but I still love them. I’m hoping for more out of this game, but for HUDGE HM FANS (like me) Tree of Peace is a MUST HAVE!

Are you SURE it’s coming out on May 12th?
Because right now it’s April right? (I live in North America) It’s changed the date so many times that I’m about to blow up from frustration.
And I’m about to give up hope on this game, I’ll still like it but if it keeps delaying I won’t be able to play it because I’m going to be moving a looooong way from any place it’s gonna be released. If it ever is. (I hate parents and their moving addiction!)
So if you hear any new news just tell me PLEASE because this game means so much to me ^_^

Sorry to disappoint you, Hannah. The US date has been pencilled in for the third quarter of this year. I think you’re looking at a July release at the very earliest.

I think there’s a current release date of June 7th for Japan. But no official word yet on release dates for Europe or the US. Chances are we’ll get it around Xmas time.

This is already out in Japan. I bought the Japanese version, played it for a bit, but I was missing out on too much due to the language barrier.
To be perfectly honest, I’m not sure it’s that brilliant. I didn’t play it for that long, but I’ve read a few critiques of the game that weren’t entirely positive.

Europe tends to get games last because of the vast of amount of languages they have to translate it to, so they can release it here… Especially text-heavy games (SSBB is an example I can think off the top of my head - description of trophies etc.)
There are NO OFFICIAL RELEASE DATES for USA/Canada or Europe. Chances are it’ll be released in USA/Canada pretty soon (probably before August ‘08) but for Europe I’m thinking near Xmas time. Maybe not that late, but October~ish time.

I only have one PR contact in the US sadly, so it’ll be difficult for me to get that info. I’ll see what I can dig up for you, though.
(And yes, I realise the US isn’t Canada, but I presume the US PR will know the release for that date.)
