Still longing for the days of playing pinball down the chippy, whilst waiting for your kebab to be thrust into your meaty hand? Shame today’s Starbucks and co. are flaunting The Independent instead of some Gottlieb Pinball Classics games - who would choose war and politics over a quality session of pinballing?

Thank goodness for the Wii, with word coming just the other day that Gottlieb will be releasing a brand new version for the console, giving you an authentic arcade experience. The game uses the motion sensor in the Wii-mote to ’tilt’ the table, and you can fire off the balls with the Nunchucks. It’s expected to retail at £29.99 from launch day, and as Gottlieb are infamous for making the most popular pinball tables in the World, it’s sure to be a trip down memory lane. Mmm, can you smell that fat frying yet?
