Amazon UK Wii pre-ordering starts next Tuesday!
If you’re worried that you’ve missed the boat when it comes to pre-ordering a Wii, settle down. It’s not too late. Amazon hasn’t even started its pre-orders yet.
They kick off next Tuesday, the 21st November, at the standard price of £179.99. Why are they opening pre-ordering so late? Amazon says it’s to ensure that everyone who pre-orders gets their console on launch day.
“We decided not to provide the opportunity to pre-order until we knew exactly how many of the consoles we had available,” says Amazon UK’s console and videogames manager James Schall.
“The last thing we wanted to do was take pre-orders that we couldn’t fulfil, as we believe that represents a bad customer experience. As a result, we are only taking pre-orders for units that Nintendo has confirmed will be provided to us for release day.”

So, is that 00:00 (i.e. midnight) or will it just appear some time in the morning?
