Buy a mobile phone… get a Nintendo Wii for free!
Now this really is bonkers. I was doing my usual round of Googling to find Wii stuff, and happened on a link promising a free Wii console. It’s a mobile phone site called Mobiles.co.uk, and they seem to be promising a free Wii if you order certain handsets on certain tariffs.
Digging around, some of these tariffs are £30 a month, which seems reasonable. I’m wondering whether you’ll get your Wii on launch day through this promotion, mind – the site does warn that “your console will be despatched as soon as stock arrives”.
But still, if anyone goes for the offer, let us know when your console turns up. Mobile retailers have been offering PSPs and DSs as sweeteners for a while now, but this is the first time I’ve seen a Wii as part of this sort of deal.

Glad you found our offer interesting, like you say we’ve been offering DS Lites and Xboxen for a while now so when we finally got a confirmed launch date for the Wii we were keen to offer our customers this choice. It’s got nothing at all to do with me wanting one at a trade price
FYI We’re hearing that there are 3 deliveries due before Christmas, and it looks like Nintendo are prioritising the US market; so we expect pre-orders to be entirely fulfilled in the first 2 deliveries, and free stock available in the third delivery (at least this would be a good strategy for Nintendo in terms of driving demand).
In common with all mobile phone dealers we do have to ask our customers to claim the console rather than sending them out with the phone, as without this we would be unable to offer them; as you can imagine, we see a lot of attempted fraud. Our free gifts are delivered within 6 weeks of the phone, and in the case of the Wii as soon as we get them in stock. Luckily because of our DS offer we have good relations with the largest UK distributor, so although we obviously are unable to promise a date we’re confident that we’ll have Wii in front of our customer’s TVs for Christmas

I ordered a samsung phone with a free wii a month ago from the link online. The phone and nintendo wii turned up together about 5 days later.

We ordered a phone from mobiles.co.uk and got a Wii and phone sent 2 days later, very happy with service would recommend.
